Frequently asked questions.

Where are the studios located?

We are located at Richmond Bridge House, on Richmond road. Our entrance is to the front right of the building, follow the stairs up to the studios. Our full address is: 421 Richmond Road, East Twickenham, Tw12EF.

I’m new to yoga – can I still join?

Absolutely. Many of the classes are suitable for beginners, and options are always offered so you can move at a pace that feels comfortable for your body. Yoga is not about flexibility or experience - it’s about connecting with your breath and body. Everyone is welcome.

What is LED light?

An LED is a small light source that produces red or near-infrared light. Red and near-infrared light are types of light that can pass into the skin. Red light works mainly on the surface of the skin, and near-infrared light can go deeper into the body’s tissues.

What are the benefits of LED light?

  • Supports skin health

  • Help muscles recover

  • Improves blood flow

  • Reduces soreness or stiffness

What should I wear to LED yoga?

We always say, wear whatever you are most comfortable in! With LED, clothing does block the absorption of light into the skin, so if you feel happy to have less coverage on, you can reap more benefits. Either way, the healing effects of powerful LED light will still have a healing impact in your session.

What should I bring to class?

We have all equipment you need at the studio! But feel free to bring your own mat if you prefer, water, and anything that helps you feel comfortable such as a blanket or extra layer. For yin and restorative classes, cosy socks or a jumper can be helpful as the body cools during longer holds.

Do I need to be flexible to do yoga?

Not at all. Flexibility develops over time through regular practice. Yoga meets you exactly where you are, and every body is different.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Yoga is practiced barefoot, so no special footwear is needed.

How early should I arrive?

Please aim to arrive 5–10 minutes before the class starts so you have time to settle in, set up your mat, and begin the practice feeling relaxed.

What if I have an injury or health condition?

Please let your instructor know before class begins if you have any injuries, are pregnant, or have any health concerns. They can then offer modifications to help you practice safely.

Which class is best if I want something gentle?

Yin, Restorative, Yin + Restore and Qi Gong & Breath are all slower, calming practices designed to relax the body and quiet the mind.

Which class should I choose if I want something more active?

Vinyasa Flow, Mandala Yoga, and Yang to Yin include more movement and energy while still incorporating breath and mindfulness.

Can I do yoga if I feel stressed or tired?

Yes absolutely, yoga can be incredibly supportive for stress, fatigue, and busy minds. Slower classes in particular help calm the nervous system and encourage deep relaxation.
